Two NSR quotations for RUB 340,000 and RUB 165,000: Class A/B, display, antennas and cables. How to prepare a comparable procurement statement.

The difference between the two AIS quotations is not explained by the same display size: in the kits in question, there are 7′′ screens, and the stations themselves belong to different classes. Therefore, the choice between NSI-1000 and NAB-1000 begins with the applicability of the equipment. Only then it makes sense to compare the composition, tracks and the total purchase price.

What is different about the stations themselves

This is not a table of interchangeability. You can’t conclude that “Class B is cheaper, it’s a Class A” without checking the task and requirements. If the existing equipment is selected for the project or for a particular vessel, the new class is first checked against these initial conditions. Installation organizations need to get accurate models, not just the wording “AIS with screen.”

Where the difference of sets hides

Our quotation NSI-1000 specifies NGA100 with 20 m cable and 5 m data cable. In the set NAB-1000 for NGA100 cable 10 m, for the data line - 3 m; VHF antenna additionally directly specified cable 10 m. Both sets list the display, antennas and mounts, but this is not a reason to consider cable statements the same.

For comparison, transfer each line to your purchasing table. Opposite the part that is supposed to be saved, write down the model and the organization responsible for the verification. In front of the new section, specify the required length. The empty line in the quotation should be specified before the order: otherwise the costs will appear during installation.

Three questions instead of a discount choice

1. Which station is applicable? Specify the type of task, the existing system and the required documents.
2. What exactly is being acquired? A new set as a whole, replacing a block or re-equipping a workplace require different statements.
3. Who's connecting and receiving? Determine the boundary of delivery and work, so as not to include them in the price silently.

Interface checks are also needed when the ship already has radar or other means of displaying targets. The matching of the destination does not prove the ready connection: you need a consumer model, a port, a format and an agreed cable. Do not buy a new screen or converter by one connector name.

How to get a comparable quotation

In the application, select the intended station or specify both for comparison. Attach one general statement of claims and a list of retained parts. We agree on the available composition and price of each option. The cost of delivery, works and additional materials is indicated separately, and the delivery result is fixed by the specification.
