JRC JMA-3300: Technical Guide Series
The JMA-3300 series is a compact JRC navigation radar for ships, where the post in the wheelhouse should take up a minimum of space: the display, processor and keyboard are assembled in one case. The series is approved by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, so such a radar is placed on ships under the supervision of RMRS, and not only on the “sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub-sub

What models are included in the series
The line is decomposed by transmitter power, display size and type of antenna installation. On the delivery card, the series includes models: JMA-3314 and JMA-3334, JMA-3316, JMA-3316HS, JMA-3336 and JMA-3336HS, JMA-3340-4 and JMA-3340-4HS, JMA-3340-6 and JMA-3340-6HS, as well as JMA-3355-7 and JMA-3355-9. Junior modifications are closed by small and medium-sized vessels, older ones are closed by vessels with an open antenna installation and high range requirements. The exact modification is selected for the vessel: the type, the navigation area, which is already on the mast.
Display and control
The base of the series is a superbly bright 10.4-inch LCD display, readable both in the sun and in the night watch. The control is designed to work in gloves: a rotary switch, individual GAIN, SEA and RAIN keys and four programmable buttons under the screen. Frequent operations - measuring the range, setting a dangerous sector - the watch takes on these buttons and does not climb into the menu.
Semi-Constaview signal processing
The Semi-ConstaviewTM digital processing came to the JMA-3300 from the larger JRC radar. In Head-Up mode, it shows the true traces of moving targets and does not touch the fixed marks of the shore and islands - the picture remains "solid", and the maneuver of the neighboring vessel is read immediately, without waiting for a long trail.
RMRS approval
The JMA-3300 series is approved by the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. For the shipowner, this means that the radar passes through the documents during surveys, and when replacing the old radar, a separate epic with approvals does not begin - the model is already in the registry lists.
