The old documents listed MSF1421B, and the supplier offered MAF1421B. Such a quotation is worth considering by documentation, retaining both designations. The manufacturer's note on electrical performance helps reconciliation, but does not replace the harmonization of applicability to a particular radar.
How to Read a Nisshinbo Note
In the MAF1421B card, the manufacturer specifies the X-band, the 9380-9440 MHz range and a peak power output of 4 kW. MSF's electrical performance is consistent with that of an identical numbered MAF, and MAF is recommended for new radar developments.
This is a specific note on electrical performance. It is not a separate replacement permit in any existing equipment and does not apply to the arbitrary coincidence of a part of the name. For the installed system, it is necessary to reconcile its documentation and the proposed product.
Maintain the original requirement and the proposed detail
In the request, write down the model from the list of spare parts or markings, and specify the proposed option separately. Attach the full radar model, the designation of the transmitting node and the documentation position number. This is how the service sees what is changing relative to the original requirement.
If the marking has an additional index, it must also be retained. You cannot delete the ending by referring to a close name in the directory. In the absence of documentation, ask the service organization to specify the configuration; the same peak power and similar housing do not close this issue.
What to get before order confirmation
Ask to fix the exact designation of the supplied product and the basis of its applicability. When coordinating, the documents related to it, including the drawing and interface data, are used if they are required by the service. The document number and its wording are useful to save along with the quotation.
Price, availability, condition and term are confirmed for the selected position. If two acceptable options are proposed, they can be compared in separate lines, preserving the differences in conditions and documents. The general word “analogue” without designation leaves the subject of purchase uncertain.
Receiving and transferring to service
Upon receipt, compare the marking and documents with the agreed option, check the integrity of the package and completeness. If the set type differs from the agreed, first make a decision on the divergence. Supply documents must remain linked to a specific product.
Installation and inspection of the radar will be coordinated with a qualified service organization. In the request for delivery, specify the number, city of receipt, required date and composition of documents. This allows you to calculate the quotation for a certain detail, without promising a universal replacement for one similarity of names.
