M1517N/M5187F: pulse power, heater specifications and ordering information
The common card M1517N/M5187F reads the e2v M5187F marking. Nisshinbo publishes a page with the combined designation M1517N/M5187F. For ordering, it is important to transfer the exact type and manufacturer of the proposed product to the specification, and the electrical parameters are checked with the documentation of the installed transmitting unit.

25 kW - peak value
The Nisshinbo card for the M1517N/M5187F specifies a fixed frequency of 9380–9440 MHz, a peak output power of 25 kW, a fill factor of 0.001 and a pulse duration of 1.00 μs. These parameters describe the pulse mode; 25 kW cannot be transferred to the continuous power string.
For clarification: with idealized identical rectangular pulses, the product of 25,000 W × 0.001 gives 25 W of average RF power. This is a simplified model calculation, not a confirmed average power limit or permission to change the transmitter mode. Acceptable treatment is taken from the applicable documentation.
The filament voltage belongs to the specified mode.
The manufacturer gives 6.3 V for pre-heating and a current of 0.52 A. This information cannot be reduced to the universal requirement of “power supply 6.3 V”: it is a specific chain and mode. When selecting, the service compares the data of the component with the scheme and manual of the transmitting unit.
The same page shows the waveguide WR90, a flange equivalent to UG-135/U, wire terminals, and air or forced air cooling. The name of the waveguide does not confirm the coincidence of all mounting dimensions, location of the terminals and cooling conditions. Before ordering, the corresponding drawings and configuration of the site are checked.
The common name of the card does not determine the actual delivery
Our photo shows an M5187F labeled e2v technologies. It does not confirm that any proposed batch has the same manufacturer or configuration. The response quotation should indicate the specific type, manufacturer, condition, marking and set of documents.
If only M1517N is recorded in the old statement, do not add M5187F through the slash as an agreed replacement. Grouping names on the manufacturer’s page helps you find the initial information, but the applicability to your radar and its modifications is confirmed separately.
What to attach to the request
Specify the radar model, the designation of the transmitting unit, the type of magnetron installed and the OEM number from the statement. Useful photo markings, the desired amount, city and document requirements. Information about warming up and pulse mode is transmitted by manual, without independently changing the settings of the equipment.
If part of the data is missing, it is noted in the request. First, agree on a specific position and applicability, then the condition, kit, price and term. The image in the shared card does not replace the confirmation of the marking of the part actually delivered.
Questions before ordering
25 kW means continuous power?
In the card above, this is peak power output. The pulse mode further describes the duration and the filling factor.
In the photo e2v, and in the common card two symbols. How do I order?
Specify the type specified and require the exact manufacturer and designation of the proposed item in the KP. Do not replace a specific label with a group of names.
